PRESIDING MEMBER PRESENTS ROOFING SHEETS TO AFFECTED FAMILIES AT NWENESO NO 3

The Presiding Member of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah, has presented roofing sheets to a household whose building was damaged by a recent rainstorm at Nweneso No. 3 in the Atwima Kwanwoma District. The storm had earlier ripped off the roof of a two-classroom block at the R/C Basic School, with the flying roofing sheets causing extensive damage to a nearby residential house.

Hon. Nsiah, who also serves as the Assembly Member for the Nweneso No. 3 Electoral Area, made the presentation on behalf of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, in fulfilment of the Assembly’s pledge to support the affected family.
Presenting the items, Hon. Nsiah expressed the Assembly’s sympathy to the victims and reaffirmed the DCE’s commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of residents in the district. He noted that the Assembly would continue to work with stakeholders to address the impact of natural disasters and strengthen community resilience.
Receiving the roofing sheets, the head of the affected family, Mr. Kwame Aworo, expressed deep appreciation to the DCE and the District Assembly for their timely intervention.
“We were very worried after the storm destroyed our roof, but the Assembly promised to help us, and today they have honoured that promise. We are very grateful to the DCE and the Presiding Member for remembering us,” he said.
Other family members, Abena Kobi and Akua Agyeiwaa also commended the Assembly for its compassion and responsiveness.
“This support has brought us great relief. We thank Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah and the Assembly for their concern for ordinary citizens,” they added.
The beneficiaries further prayed for God’s blessings on the leadership of the District Assembly and pledged their support for development initiatives in the community.
The presentation forms part of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly’s ongoing efforts to provide relief and support to communities affected by natural disasters and unforeseen circumstances.
