DCE OF ATWIMA KWANWOMA HONOURED WITH INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN AWARD

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has been recognized for her outstanding humanitarian contributions and honored with an international award by the International Ministerial Council of Churches and Bible Colleges (IAMCCBC), headquartered in Houston, USA.

The Council, which has over 150 campuses across the globe with a membership of about 11,000 in 60 nations, certified Hon. Agyemang Asamoah as a member of the International LAW–USA in recognition of her commitment to supporting humanity.
Presenting the award, the African Coordinator and President of the Ghana Chapter of IAMCCBC, Rev. Emmanuel Boachie, who led a delegation on behalf of the Global President, Rev. Mark Randall Brown, explained that the organization is a non-partisan body that identifies and honors hardworking individuals for their contributions to humanity.
Rev. Boachie noted that the award was given on humanitarian grounds and urged public officers to work diligently to support the needy and vulnerable in society. He disclosed that four personalities were initially selected from Ghana, two were shortlisted, and eventually Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah emerged as the recipient, having demonstrated exceptional commitment to humanitarian causes in both her private and public life.
He further revealed that the award would be carried out in two phases, with the first phase recognizing and conferring the honor on her, while the second phase would be held later in a different capacity. He encouraged the DCE to continue her good works and called on others to emulate her efforts to help build a better world.
Receiving the award, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, in an emotional address, stated that she was accepting the honor not as a personal achievement but as a reflection of collective effort, shared vision, and unwavering commitment to progress.
She said the recognition affirms that meaningful work, when done with integrity, passion, and a genuine desire to serve others, transcends borders.
She added that impact is not limited by geography, noting that good leadership, innovation, and service are recognized everywhere. The DCE dedicated the award to the people she serves for their trust, resilience, professionalism, and teamwork, and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the awarding institution and its partners for acknowledging her work from afar.
She said the award serves as a motivation and a challenge to work harder, remain grounded, and continue championing inclusive development, especially for women, young people, and the underserved in the communities.
The event was attended by the Presiding Member of the Assembly, Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah, Assembly Members, staff of the District Assembly, and loved ones of the DCE.
