Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly Holds First Executive Committee Meeting.

The Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly has successfully convened its first Executive Committee meeting, bringing together key stakeholders to deliberate on critical development issues within the district.
            
The meeting focused on reviewing reports and recommendations from the various sub-committees. Central to the discussions were updates on ongoing projects and their levels of completion. Notable among these were the proposed 24-Hour Economy Market, several legacy projects, and the development of the lorry park at Foase. Members were briefed on progress made so far and strategies to ensure timely completion.
In addition, the Committee addressed plans for the orientation of newly appointed members, emphasizing the need to equip them with the requisite knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the Assembly’s work.
Addressing the meeting, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, welcomed members and expressed appreciation for their dedication and commitment to advancing the development agenda of the district. She underscored the importance of teamwork and sustained effort in achieving the Assembly’s objectives.
On financial management, the DCE outlined strategic measures being implemented to reduce costs and eliminate unnecessary expenditure. These measures, she noted, are aimed at enhancing efficiency and ensuring prudent use of the Assembly’s resources.
The Committee also commended revenue mobilization officers for their outstanding performance and commitment towards achieving revenue targets for the 2025 fiscal year. Members encouraged them to maintain the momentum in 2026 and beyond.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment by all members to work collaboratively towards the socio-economic development of the Atwima Kwanwoma District.
