As part of efforts to establish a strong working relationship with the business community and to build a resilient and robust local economy, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has paid a working visit to Extra Comfort Foam Limited at Afrancho.

Addressing management and staff of the company, Hon. Agyemang Asamoah expressed confidence in the capacity of indigenous entrepreneurs to drive development when given the right resources and access to capital. She noted that the black man, when adequately supported, can excel in industrial growth, job creation, and sustainable development.
The DCE encouraged the youth to embrace hard work, innovation, and entrepreneurship, urging them to consider vocational skills and trading rather than over-reliance on so-called white-collar jobs for survival. She emphasized that the private sector has the potential to employ more people when supported by government and when strong public–private partnerships are nurtured.
She further admonished staff of Extra Comfort Foam Limited to live up to expectations by demonstrating honesty, diligence, and commitment to duty, cautioning that acts such as theft could cripple businesses and undermine their long-term sustainability.
Hon. Agyemang Asamoah also appealed to the general public to patronize locally manufactured products, stressing that buying from local firms is key to enhancing productivity, sustaining businesses, and boosting the local economy.
Reaffirming the Assembly’s commitment to private sector growth, the DCE pledged the readiness of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly to support the company and to liaise with other investors to enable the firm expand its operations to a 24-hour production cycle, thereby increasing output and employment opportunities.
She further assured management that the Assembly would engage the Ghana Education Service (GES) and other relevant stakeholders to explore avenues for institutional patronage of the company’s products to expand its market base. In addition, she called on Nananom to make lands available for private enterprises and government initiatives, noting that access to land remains critical to industrial and infrastructural development.
The DCE concluded by reiterating that collaborative efforts between traditional authorities, government, and the private sector remain essential in building a prosperous and sustainable Atwima Kwanwoma District in the years ahead.
