Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, the District Chief Executive for Atwima Kwanwoma today, Thursday, Augus 14, 2025, has presented some relief items to persons living with disability at the forecourt of the district assembly at Twedie.
She stated that the first batch of persons living with disability had already received their support in the form of medical bills, payment of prospectus, and bags of charcoal.
A total of 22 persons living with disability benefited from the initiative.
She stressed that the gesture forms part of the government’s quota through the Social Welfare and Community Development for disabled individuals to support them fend for themselves as well as their families .
She encouraged the beneficiaries to make good use of the resources to their advantage so as to manage their day-to-day affairs.
She implored them not to look down on themselves and know that they have unique abilities and are valued in the societies they find themselves in .
Among items presented included popping corn maker and gas cylinder, welding machine, fufu pounding machine, industrial knitting machine, takeaway bowls , polytene bags, washing soap, detergents, bathing soaps among others.
