DCE Pays Surprise Inspection Visit to Trede Agenda 111 Hospital, Pledges Action to Fast-Track Its Operationalisation.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly, Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, has undertaken an unannounced inspection of the Agenda 111 Hospital project at Trede to assess the current state of the facility and ensure that the premises are being properly maintained.
The visit formed part of the DCE’s commitment to safeguarding public infrastructure and ensuring that government investments remain in good condition while awaiting full operationalisation.
During the inspection, Hon. Agyemang Asamoah toured the entire hospital compound to ascertain whether previous directives she had issued on maintaining a clean and orderly environment were being complied with. Although all the doors to the facility were locked at the time of the visit, she thoroughly inspected the exterior of the hospital and its surroundings.
The DCE expressed satisfaction with the general cleanliness of the premises but stressed that continuous maintenance is essential to preserve the facility and prevent deterioration before it begins serving the public.
She also interacted with the security personnel and labourers stationed at the project site, commending them for their efforts while urging them to remain vigilant in protecting the facility against theft, vandalism and any activities that could compromise its condition.
Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah reminded them that the hospital represents a significant national investment intended to improve access to quality healthcare for residents of Trede, Atwima Kwanwoma and neighbouring communities. She therefore called on everyone entrusted with its care to discharge their responsibilities diligently until the facility becomes fully operational.
The DCE further disclosed that she would brief the Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, on the current state of the hospital and engage him on practical steps towards putting the facility to its intended use.
She reaffirmed her commitment to working with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the hospital begins delivering quality healthcare services to the people as envisioned under the Agenda 111 programme.
“Governance is a continuous process, and it is our responsibility to ensure that public investments are protected and utilised for the benefit of our people,” the DCE stated.
Hon. Grace Agyemang Asamoah was accompanied by selected officials of the Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly during the inspection exercise, which forms part of a broader effort to monitor government projects across the district and ensure value for public resources.
